Lotherton Hall Sept 28th

Post by Davejue1 »

I've received an email from cars in the park for the above. I assume others that are on there email list will have received the same. Just wondering who's intending on going and thinking about meeting up at the services and running in together as we did when going to Newby. Would be good to get something organised. :)

PLEASE NOTE THE NEW TIMES. WE WILL BE LEAVING THE MEET POINT AT 9.30 TO BE AT LOTHERTON FOR 10.30 Thanks.

Brilie (Brian) is organising a meet up at Redhouse interchange near Doncaster (details below) to run in together. Names wanting to join listed here:

Brilie
Bowler
Davejue1
Chipper3
Corky
Bertiejaffa
Desiro +1
Not ready yet
Maurice the Martian

Cheers
Dave

Not sure why this was posted in Event/Cruise Aftermaths - I've moved it to Check Your Diary and added it to the upcoming events on the portal page.

I'm thinking about going to this (again!), but I need to see where I am before I buy my ticket. If I do, then I can bring the magnificent, table and chairs etc.

I'm up for this one, had a good day at Newby for a 1st meet noobie, last years itinery was;
Ferrybridge Services M62/A1(M): Arrive from 08:00; Depart 08:30
Sherburn Church: Arrive when we get there; Depart 5 secs after arrival!
Wetherby Services A1(M): Arrive from 08:45; Depart 09:15
Boroughbridge, Morrisons Car Park: Arrive from 09:15; Depart 09:45
As we appear not to be going that far north this time will Ferrybridge at 9am be ok ?

Ferrybridge was a meeting point last year, but it really isn't very far from there, so not so much of a drive, more of a mass arrival.

I can try, but it just depends where I am setting off from - if I'm home on Saturday, then I might be able to conjure up something in the cake department.

Glad you like my baking, Brian. Forgot to say that my lemon cake didn't get through to the final of Cakes vs Pies as CarFest, but it did score 90/100 overall and 24/25 for taste/flavour. :D

Having missed Newby I was looking forward to Lotherton Hall but then found out that we were booked to go to Scotland on the 27th/28th but that might now be changing to the following weekend so fingers crossed.

Hi all,Lotherton Hall looming and lots of talk of where when and how?
As we are all aware a meet at Ferrybridge is fine but not much of a drive
Up to Lotherton.
As a suggestion how about meeting at McDonald's red house interchange on the A638
Wakefield Rd. Just head north on the A1M round Doncaster exit jnctn 38 head for
Doncaster after about 150yds turn right at the roundabout and it's on your left DN6 7FB.
We can then go down th A19 to Eggborough then across to sherburn up to Lotherton.
We would have to leave about 8am to be at Lotherton for 9am . I am sure it will be a
Lot better run than all the way up the A1 .
If anybody would like to meet for a mini cruise please put your name down!
Cheers Brian

DID SOMEONE MENTION CAKE??

Obviously no golfers out there - that is the last day of The Ryder Cup!!

All that means we'll not make the event...........but we'd still like to come to Maccy D's for the meet and drive up to Lotherton, getting back home in plenty of time to see The Victorious European Team lift the trophy (insert smile of little yellow fella holding cup)

I take it that would be OK?

Colin.

Are you still meeting at Boroughbridge in Morrisons carpark? If so count me in.
Think I am the only one
I think Mrs Fender2004 was going to make some cup cakes and bring them along.
Not that I'm trying to use the cakes as a sweetener :D

Sorry guys, don't mean to upset anybody but as stated plan was to hit Lotherton from
South via a few country roads rather than A1 most of the way.
