Can somebody please help identify this connector?
Hi All,
Whilst refitting my centre console, I have found this connector and I am unable to figure out what it's for. Can someone please enlighten me?
Thanks in advance,
David

I've added a link to post on Z3 M Coupe Forum which if you look through it shows both myself and DaveP found the same connector on our Coupes. Neither of us have any idea what it is for.

If you really want to know, you can check electric manual for your z3 and find it by wires colours.
Just guessing - if you have OBC in your car, that could be connector for clock without OBC - cars have both connectors.

If it's under the passenger seat then I think it was fitted for the American market and it's a passenger seat belt sensor and lights on the dash if someone is sat in the seat without the seatbelt fastened.
I'm sure Rob T will be along soon to prove me wrong though.

Thanks for the response guys,
Its under the front of the centre console, where all the wiring for the heated seats, clock, cig lighter, AC are located. I've ruled out all of these options stated.
I dont' have the OBC clock, could it possibly be for this?

The Z3 has a standard wiring loom. There are lots of spare connectors all over the car for options that weren't fitted to your car. This includes options which weren't available in some markets. Having said that, I don't recognise the connector, but it could be for the telephone kit or even the marten repellent (yes, seriously).

As far as I can see from the ETM It is for the chime module.
Seems as if the chime module does several different function depending on the inputs activated
