At a time when there are two s54 Roadsters being advertised with dealers at well over £25K (albeit neither look as if they have sold), this example looks a bargain if it goes for anything like its guide price. Admittedly a higher mileage than the others but should give a feel for the real value of these cars.
Not that I'm selling mine so irrelevant really!!!!
A bargain s54?

Sprat to catch an unwary mackerel?
Re: A bargain s54?
The mileage is acceptable but for those seeking an "investment" it is probably on the high side - the car would also have general wear & tear associated with that sort of mileage and age.

Re: A bargain s54?
it will give an indication of value but I wonder as to exactly how true of one?..., there's so many nice roadsters come out of the wood work recently, trying to cash in on the hike everything seems to have had, that as a buyer you could pretty much have your choice of special cars, (have you seen how many low miles M roadsters there are on pistonheads??!?!?!), that obviously devalues the marque......, its all supply and demand! and if one comes up that's high miles its not going to be a particularly special thing coming to auction, plus ive noticed over the years that cars that come to auction that are for some reason special do very well, and vice versa if they aren't out of the ordinary or have something that makes them less desirable they seem to do particularly badly, IMO.
that said I do still think its estimated a little cheap!!.... (but I am biased!!)

Auctions are a VERY good guide to the REAL value of things. I'll be watching this with interest.

It only made £9680.
Seems cheap to me. Did anyone get to see it?

I concur!!
if you look at the lot lists results it looked like a particularly poorly performing auction when you see how many things were unsold.
the identical car (but s50) with 30 odd thousand miles less!!!!, only made £1300 more in the same auction.

Can't believe the seller didn't set the reserve at at least £10k.
Must've been desperate for the cash...
Maybe the low selling price was because of the perceived 'high mileage' at over 90k?
