Hi
Iv'e begun to notice a trend with my DSC lights staying on & a fault
code showing Transverse Acceleration Sensor. I mainly use the car
for local trips of 20 mins or so & all is OK but if i go on a longer
trip of over an hour my DSC/Brake warning lights come on and
stay on for week or so then after a few more local trips they go off.
Could this be the sensor warming up or something & then faulting out
after an hour or so. Don't know anything about electronics but just thought
this may be the case as my LDV telly now takes 5 mins before i get a decent
picture just like the old days with valves. Progress hey.
Have priced a new sensor, a job for Spring me thinks.
Cheers Bob

Re: Transverse Acceleration Sensor
I had this exact same issue with my DSC a few years ago. Sadly it turned out to be the lateral sensor, which is the expensive one.
Maybe you can find a good used one.

Try Andy - Spurs fan in a coupe... he just may be able to help you with a 2nd hand unit.
Re: Transverse Acceleration Sensor
Similar fault to ours and sourced a replacement used sensor from USA. they are a lot more common over there.

Re: Transverse Acceleration Sensor
How do you tell which one needs replaceing. I thought the Transverse Acceleration Sensor was
the cheaper one of the 2 (£75 New) . What fault code comes up with the expensive one which i thought
was the Yaw Sensor.

Re: Transverse Acceleration Sensor
I have the same problem that Si mentioned, no faults are logged.
Realoem shows the accelerating sensor as the cheaper one, part # 37146781405 for my model and #34526864094 for the expensive one
