Another "mile"stone. Next stop 444,444.
Got it at 166,666 - so did 50% of the mileage......but 100% of the Z3 "issues"
........which actually makes the ownership all that more fun.
Happy motoring

Re: 333,333
Has that been done on the original engine? I guess not.
2001 Z3 2.2 Topaz Blue (Trudy) - Keeper rebuilt from a write-off
2002 Z3 2.2 Titan Silver (Cookies) - Keeper rebuilt having been bought with a seized engine
2002 Z3 3.0 Sapphire Black (Peanut) - Keeper awaiting rebuilding having been bought as an abandoned project
Plus Willy, Kodak & Maycee - All 2.2 Sport projects. Yes, 6 is a lot of Z3s
Always happy to try and help with spares

The original engine....just note it's km and not miles....but still respectable.
It's driving great (albeit loosing 250cc of water for every 1000km - from what I'm guessing is hairline crack in the head ...and prefer to live with it for now )

208k miles is still a great achievement!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets excited about hitting mileage boundaries, particularly all the numbers the same I share the upcoming news with the kids so we can all watch as it happens. Z3 is on 97.5k so 99,999 beckons but miles are done so slowly in that it will be years! They go on much quicker in my Alhambra at 30k per year!

Re: 333,333
ah... yes. 666 was the number of the beast according to the book... So, 666,666 would be a beast of beasts I guess - like a really old Z3...
Re: 333,333
That's 207,000 miles. Tough old cast iron blocks and forged bottom ends in these 1.9s. They'll go on forever with regular oil changes eliminating wear
There are a lot of rubber O-rings sealing the expansion tank (2 sealing the tank to the radiator, 1 on the bleed screw, 1 on the drain plug and possibly 1 sealing a blanking plug at the bottom (non-air con cars?). A slight aging/imperfection of any could cause a slight coolant leak over time.
