how many wear wires on front

just moved on to the drivers side of my car today and noticed no wear wires but there is wire on the passenger is this normal ?

The connection box on the inner wing where the abs sensor goes appears smaller too..

Perfectly normal there is one sensor on the front n/s and one on the rear o/s

My Transit Connect van only had a wire on one front brake.
