Well after 8 years of Z3 ownership (1.9 & 3.0i) I have added a Z4M to the fleet, Bought it off a fellow track-day member so I have known the car for a few years now.
A real baptism of fire as the car was based in the London area and I am in Scotland so a plan to pick up the car at a track-day was hatched. Nervous first moments as I picked up the car at 07:15 and was on Donington Park circuit at 09:30
Not my first choice of colour but it really has grown on me. So much difference in technology etc. between the two cars so really hard to compare, stunning engine and encouraging exhaust note

Re: Z3 to Z4M
I like red.
It seems to be a bit of a taboo colour on new cars, not least of all BMWs.

2001 Z3 2.2 Topaz Blue (Trudy) - Keeper rebuilt from a write-off
2002 Z3 2.2 Titan Silver (Cookies) - Keeper rebuilt having been bought with a seized engine
2002 Z3 3.0 Sapphire Black (Peanut) - Keeper awaiting rebuilding having been bought as an abandoned project
Plus Willy, Kodak & Maycee - All 2.2 Sport projects. Yes, 6 is a lot of Z3s
Always happy to try and help with spares

Absolutely stunning I love Imola red. Get some CSL 19s on and it would be perfect keep them standard rims for the track.

Ha ha, not quite, shame is you can buy a decent Z4M cheaper than a Z3M. The yellow peril is still with me, had a day a Croft Circuit last Monday
