Steering wheel refurb - perforated or non-perforated leather

Post by BladeRunner919 »

I'm planning on getting my wheel done by Royal Steering Wheels and I'm undecided on whether I should go for perforated leather or not. Part of me likes the look, but part of me wants to retain a more 'standard' look (albeit with the extra padding).

Are there any pros and cons to the perforated, or is it purely down to how it looks?

Getting my wheel done at Royal too but after Christmas. I think plain black nappa all round is best with M 3 colour stitching and a 2mm diameter increase.

Cant wait. Have been quoted £130 plus shipping. Just concerned about removal do you have any tips?

No, I haven't removed mine yet but it should be straightforward - what are you concerned about?

Got mine done at Royal, smooth nappa top and bottom, perforated at sides and red stitching and slightly fatter rim.
Fantastic job, worth every penny. Ten minute job (or less) to remove/replace!!

I'm considering red stitching - can you post a pic of yours?
