Hardtop mounting

Post by Z3crazy » Mon 30 Oct, 2017 12:11

Hi Guys,

To make my softtop last longer i've bought a hardtop, a lovely looking Cosmosschwartz one. I gets fitted on Saturday, but i'm not sure if the mounting gauges to position the height at rear of the roof (part nr 54219408881) are present.

Does anybody know what the dimensions are of these spacers? Maybe i could knock out a pair just in case.

Dave

Forget it :o

Found the info i need on the Bimmer forum. Spacers are 6,2 mm thick and moulded to fit the bodywork.

So bits of plastic drainpipe should do the trick

did you get the rear mounts with the top or are they all ready fitted to your zed, I didn't want to spend the same ammount as the top so I made my own rear mounts , having the top on make my zed look totally different and a bit warmer

It's obviously a second hand roof, but the little bits and bobs like the spacers are usually the first things to "disappear".

I just wanted to cover my bases in case they aren't available.

BTW, i'm talking about the little plastic shim things, not the bracket the top secures to.
