After trading my 1.9 Z3 for a Boxster S in 2010, life is moving in near full circles again.
I still own the Defender 90 I had back then but a different Morgan 4/4.
The Boxster lasted a year before I decided that possible major engine problems meant time to move on.
After several not so interesting motors for "general" runabout use (presently a Fusion 1.4 - at least it is easy on my old cream crackered knees) I feel the need for another Z3.
The Morgan is to go (knee problems). The Fusion can go. The Defender remains. Changing circumstances this year (lost SWMBO to cancer plus changing career) mean reducing the "fleet" to two motors. I really fancy another Z3, but not in black! Three black cars in a row was just too much - I like driving, not spending hours trying to make a car look clean. My only Z3, a 1.9, was registered S180GTV, I wonder if it is still out there somewhere?

So, am looking for another 1.9 (I like manual hoods) or just maybe something quicker. Not in any rush - not really the right time of year to sell a Morgan (or most ragtops come to that! :) ).

Thank you Sir!
I have my eye on one or two :)

Things seem a little quieter here than 7 years ago?
Maybe it is just me, being used to a busy Morgan forum.

Cheers,

That didn't take long.
A Palmetto Green Z3 1.9, 1999. Deposit paid this afternoon. Hopefully collect next week, trading in the commutacar Fusion.
They are changing the rear exhaust for a standard part - drone of the sports exhaust was awful above 40mph. No way I could do long distances without ear defenders. Even noisier than my Morgan 4/4...

Looking forward to re-acquainting myself with a Z. Wish I hadn't sold the Bentley workshop manual to a chap in Dublin back in 2010 now! :)

Thanks. Appreciate that.
Looking forward to collecting. Will have to chase the dealer today to see whether it will be ready for the weekend. I'm trying to help a Morgan friend solve an electrical problem on Sunday. No doubt we will end up with a couple of ales and I'll overnight there :) Rather drive the Z across to bucks than the Fusion :!:

Thanks!
I will be using it for a run over to a friend near Amersham tomorrow.
Then hopefully to visit friends in Cumbria for a few days sometime soon.

I think you'll have a hard time finding an original hardtop to match. 8-)

TBH I wouldn't worry about matching one. Black or silver would go without any problem.
There are other things to do first - mostly house related :)

Hi and welcome back from Bonzo and Z3lda in Norfolk. Sorry to hear of your loss. Your Z3 is such a fresh looking colour, hope she turns out to be as good as she looks. What colour/spec is her interior?

All the best,

Bonzo.

Thanks for the comments.
Interior is all black, leather seats. I like the contrast with the pale exterior.
A few little things to obtain before next spring (wind blocker rear window/hood protection) and a rear strut to tighten things up a bit.
Had an enjoyable trip to Bucks Sunday/Monday, which justified my return to Z3 ownership :)
