Red was the racing colour of the Italian national team. Imola Red is named after the Imola Circuit in Italy, the site of Ayrton Senna's fatal 1994 crash. Italy plays host to two F-1 races a year, the San Marino GP (a principality in north-central Italy) at Imola in April and the Italian GP at Monza in September.
