Andermatt Swiss Meeting

This is a small selection of the photos from the Andermatt meeting organised by the Swiss Z Club.

Three cars travelled in convoy from the UK--David and PN in M Roadster, Gary and Jo in Porsche 996 Turbo Cab and Tim in Z4 3.0i SMG. Nick (Z3 1.9) had travelled down earlier and we met other owners in Luzern--MarkB and Greg CH (both Z4) as well Belgian drivers and a guy who had driven all the way from Norway.

Mountains behind are Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau

The count was up to 300 cars when this glorious Stratus Z8 arrived

And still group after group arrived

M Roadster with 4.7-litre Hartge V8 conversion

Just in case there's any doubt

Red is a brave choice on a Z4

Red with Dream Red interior is even braver

Very rare Sundown (only five cars built in this colour)

If Britain had such bright sunshine, Toledo would be more popular

Three of the ten or so Z8s that arrived

MarkB's car in front of the final count (326 cars)

Group shot at one of the Susten pass glaciers

We got close enough to sample the meltwater

Zmeagol blends well into the background

We descended the Grimsel pass on the right, had lunch at Gleich at the bottom, then climbed the Furka pass

The Rhone Glacier on the Furka pass

Another glacier on the Furka pass

The view from the Schwartzwald HockStraße (Black Forest High Street) on the way home

In front of the dome at the WWII La Coupole V2 rocket site

This was the moment that I realised TomTom navigation system had bought me along a cycle track. I briefly considered trying to drive through!

Thanks to David Miles for organising the run from the UK
