Cricketers' Arms

Organised by ex-M coupe owner Surj Sandher, this was a joint Porsche-Bimmer pub lunch near Stanstead followed by a 'spirited' drive in the countryside. Of the 20 cars present, six were a mix of 993, 996 and 968 Porsches, with one Z1, five Z3s, one M coupe and seven M roadsters.

The drive was great fun--I've never seen a Z1 thrown around bends with such verve. Larri reckoned the porkers at the front of the group held things up a bit. Though it was a bitterly cold day, many kept their softtops down--even when it started snowing. Fortunately the sun came out for some photos outside the Cricketers.

Rhapsody in Blue--Mike Powell's M roadster and Mark and Angela Canham's M coupe

Four M roadsters--Joe's newly acquired Phoenix Yellow, Tim's Zmurf, Phil's new Sapphire and Giles' Imola

Yet more exotic cars--Morgans, Jaguars, etc

Apologies to those I didn't capture on photo, it was just too cold!
