  • Part 8:   Return via WWII battlefields

The BMW stand was predicatably packed, and by a happy coincidence I happened to arrive within minutes of 'Wild Blue' who had travelled from Germany. We stuck together most of the time we were on on the stand and managed to get quite a lot of information from the various members of staff.

There were three Z4s on the stand, all with 18-inch Ellipsoid (option 107) alloys
-- a Titan Silver 2.5 with Pearl Grey Active Sport interior and (therefore) Aluminium trim
-- a Titan Silver 3.0 with Black Oregon interior and Sycamore wood trim
-- a Sterling Grey 3.0 with Pearl Grey Active Sport interior and Aluminium trim

    Titan Silver 2.5

    Titan Silver 3.0

    Sterling Grey 3.0

    Ellipsoid wheels
Not my favourites--too much metal and not particularly easy to clean

    Park Distance Control sensor
I couldn't see any sensors on the front. Surely there should be?

    Headlight washer
According to the specification sheets, all three Z4s were equipped with headlight washers. Maybe they pop up?

Continue with part 3:   Z4 softtop
