Why was the engine compartment a secret
Invariably, as soon as the car was unlocked for a visitor to sit in it, someone would pop the bonnet (US=hood). But under-bonnet photographs were apparently not allowed. So I came back later (grin). However I haven't any idea what was so secret, other than there's lots of space for bigger/longer engines.
