: What does it look like from under the bonnet? I suspect you will see the bump just forward of the ignition coil.

: The front half of the inner wheel arch is ONLY liner, the metal stops just forward of the suspension turret.

: You should be able to just push it back into place.
: If it has been distorted for a long time, the plastic will have 'set' in the wrong position.
: You could fix it by securing a self tapper and big washer into the liner from the wheel side, and fixing it through to a suitable light fixing on the inner side. You can then pull the liner inwards, and just hold it 'in' with a tie wrap. After a few weeks take it off, the plastic will have remembered its' proper position, and all you are left with is a small hole in the material.
