: : a nice long drive to WPB and on the way home, in the street where I live, the car slowed down, then the engine died. First instinct was fuel pump. I pulled the hose off of fuel injector, no fuel ... so next step fuel pump removal... the pump is dead. I tried to clean it, after 10 minutes of cleaning, trying it started again. Strainer was filty, fuel filter also was too heavy so I replaced that too. I still suspect that the tank is filthy and needs cleaning inside. Any way to do it w/o removing the tank ? 
: : I added a fuel injector cleaning solvent, etc but the stuff on the bottom of the tank is still there and trying to find a way to get it out. 
: : The car runs fine now, idles better then before. The pump is expensive (for what it is) 169.99 original Bosch unit. (not from BMW though)

: One time i tried to start my Z-1 but didnt startup, tried to start
: it for maybe 10 times or more but didnt start, i even tried to

: better to do it the natural way in the garage using special cleaning kit , i think 
: they take them all off & place them in a special machine to clean them.
