: Lately I've noticed a noise at low speed (under 30mph) in 1st/2nd gear. It is IDENTICAL to the noise you sometimes get when unwinding full steering lock when reversing/parking. It's like a groaning sound . . .  anyway, when it happens at low speed, just a dab of the brakes stops it completely. 

: Is this a power steering crisis or is it likely there's some kinda component contact going on ?
