Yes - fit a new belt! Once you are commited to removing and replacing the door anyway, the belt replacement is the easy part of the job.

Shimming. If you are certain that the shimming needs changing - you have presumably watched and listened as the door grinds up and down! Then you will find the original shim size in mm painted by hand next to each of the mounting studs. I reckon that's a good place to start. After that it would have to be by trial and (whoops!)
