Hi Paul !! Yep the door does grind up and down! Is there any scientific way of reshimming the door? I,ve looked everywhere for those numbers ,probably shim thickness in mm. Cant find them. I was thinking of replacing the door, not tightening the bolts and watching and listening to the door going up and down, especially the window path. If things look to be going seriously wrong ie out of path then pull the fuse. I would have thought as I tightened the bolts as the trueness goes in or out the motor could be heard to load up, indicating a distortion setting in. Any Idea how BM did it?. Do shims fit under all the bolts or say just under the studs?. Many thanks for helping me by the way!! : Shimming. If you are certain that the shimming needs changing - you have presumably watched and listened as the door grinds up and down! Then you will find the original shim size in mm painted by hand next to each of the mounting studs. I reckon that's a good place to start. After that it would have to be by trial and (whoops!) : Best of luck.
