I found it in the boot. Teped very securely to the wiring loom. had to undo it and pull back into the cabin.
It was on the nearside.
Hope it helps.

Helrot red hard top and fitting kit for sale.
Hi everyone. As I have sold the car, I now have a red hard top with fitting kit, all bolts, torx screwdriver, storage bag and storage rack (folds flat when not in use) for sale. The top is in very good condition and the kit only two years old. I want £800 for the lot if anyone is interested. Buyer t...

Cowboybebop/Bonbon. Just realised a slight technical problem. The inside of my mirrors are of a different design to yours! In the picture http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii110/bonboniera_2008/DSCF1138.jpg the cylindrical tube the spring sits over (and the wire passes through) is the other way rou...

A tip for BonBon. You may find you have a problem using the filler as you have. The spring also allows for the mirror to be swivelled towards the car in the case of a minor knock. If its solid it may break the mirror mounting. The spring is kept under pressure by a large clip washer. I found by fitt...

Engine cutting out after 5 mins driving?
Has anyone experienced this before? In milder temps as we are getting now, occassionaly the 1.9z will cut out for a few seconds (as though there is dirty petrol) then pick up again. It only happens from cold and after about 5 mins driving so the engine isnt up to temperature yet. It only happens whe...

Newbie. Hardtop wanted
Hi Mrs Mozart and welcome. Like you I bought an early 1.9 97 model and wanted a hard top. Managed to get a colour matched top through ebay and then bought a fitting kit (which I think you will need) from an independant company in London. Whole lot for under £800 so be patient and watch e bay regular...

Z3 fixing kit needed.
Hi Cazza. Happy new year if you're up yet! I had the same problem. Had the hard top and no fixing kit. I eventually bit the bullet and bought a new one from www.designerbeema.com as they seemed to be the cheapest I could find. I have seen them sell on ebay since for more than they charged me and the...

Put it on about five weeks ago, mainly because of visiting bristol and cardiff for work! Less noise on the motorway too. Must agree with earlier comment that its important that soft top is fully dry or it gets musty over the cold months. One problem though, I cant connect the heated rear windscreen ...

From one redzed to another. I have a redzed 3 too. I think the colour is fantastic (when clean!) and its by far the best colour for a sports car. Bright red with tan leather.... Yummie. looks great with matching hard top (cant get the top down at the moment, its tooooooo wet) Still think the 3 looks...

A big thanks to Nick for arranging the 'zed cars'. Weather was great and it was good to see so many pushing their pride and joy on the track. Is there any vid links from the day?

A fantastic video. What made you choose the z4 for this treatment? Was it the tracktime you have had in the z8 or have you been racing for a while?

Door Mirrors
Matchy. Yes the mirrors should swivel. I have a 97 1.9 and the mirrors were wobbly when I bought the car. When I took them apart I found the base of the mirror frame had seized and when the mirror had been knocked it broke the frame inside the mirror. Hence it wobbled. You may be lucky. if you pop t...

Hi Spark. I collected a hard top in the back of a ford galaxy. Fitted in perfectly facing backward. Lucky enough to get a perfect colour match ( hellrot red) so no painting needed. Best to fit the fitting kit then pick up the hardtop in the bm? Wouldn't recommend driving it unsecured, any accident w...

Take the ferry to Le havre. Go over the Pont de Normandie and head across french countryside to Tours. Follow the Loire to Blois. Pick up the A71 at Vierzon and head south over the Volcan mountains. Retro fitted a hard top to my 1997 Z3 for the winter. Heated rear switch was wrong switch. Had hard top on car for a day in the garage whilst awaiting switch.
