Re: has anyone got (or had) an E46?

Very late to the party.. but well done on your choice! I bought a 330ci Cab last year, fantastic car. I paid a little over the odds for a minter (53k miles on 2004 plate, 2 owners), but well worth it. Personally I'd have gone for the 330ci as fuel economy difference is negligible but power is fairly...

So who is still around...?

Morning all, Not been on here for a long while (4 years out of a BMW will do that), so which regulars are still around? I cross paths with a few on Pistonheads, and Paula annoys me on Facebook occasionally :) Still keep an eye out to see where my old Z3 went to, would like to buy it back some day! K

OK which of you reprobates are going to be there on the Sunday? :D

I'll be travelling down in the Griffith in the morning, parking in Green 16. Where are the Zeds mostly being held? Looking forward to it, should be a good day :)

I wrestled with the fact the Griff would live outside as I have no garage before buying, it was one of the main sticking points for me. The Z3 was garaged permanently so I was quite lucky with that. Good point, you'll not lose money with it to be honest.. so if you can store it easily then probably ...

Cerberas are brutal! I do prefer the sound of my Rover V8 though :)

I was close to getting a Z3MC before the TVR - that's still on my list I think. First Z3 I ever drove was a S50 Z3M :)

M6's are very good value at the moment, also M5s. So tempting - but you need to be brave for the running costs!

Not sure if has been mentioned, but for the hard top you need to have the fixing kit fitted to your car. Do you know if you have it? That's quite an added expense I believe if not? Personally I think the hard top is overkill, and just awkward to put on and then store. If it lives outside, yeah I can...

Honestly... I really don't have a good reason. I had it for 5 years, bought it from a dealer on 17k miles 18 months old, sold with 97k. It had not quite bottomed out on price and thought it was still sellable with those miles. Also probably afraid that big bills were around the corner and I do a lot...

Right curiosity has really got the better of me, it has now been 3 years since I sold her and I am desperate to know where she is - I know she's still on the road after a bit of digging (which is a relief!) Alonso has been the best driver this season, don't like him but he's the worthy winner.

Hamilton has a real chance, think its between him and Alonso really.

Webber has not driven that well, but there's two races yet to prove he's a worthy champion
