Never seen these wheels on a Z1 before. They look like those from a Z4 Alpina which would mean a 5-lug conversion and no longer a stock condition car. Alpina Rims 18" for a MINI are 4spoke ... Aha...thanks for the insight. The seller said they were 4-lug, so that must be how they fitted them. ...

There was once a project by the official BMW Z1 Club to order these alloys for 17". They dropped the project.
I think it was to expensive - and also you need a TÜV-Approval for the Wheels to mount them to the car. I don't think that the US-imported alloys will meet the criterias for that.

That's not a real test.
I would be interested how this enigine would look like on 50% of the distance - but driven on the nordschleife.

Please check the antenna-amplifier in your Z1. There is one (left side, under the steering-wheel) - and your receptions should improve a lot. Usually if you're a resident in some european state you are not allowed to drive a car registered on your name for more than x months after you moved there - which the car is still registered on you old state. You can try to register the car to some others name, but then he may get your speeding tic...

Alpina has produced 66 Alpina RLEs, where Alpina is the Manufacturer - but also a couple of Alpina Z1s where Alpina was the "Tuner" and BMW the Manufacturer ...

Hello Ben there's a company in my neighborhood which is specialized on M20-Conversions. They offer conversions from 2.9l up to 3.2l - with 203BHP up to 258BHP. Where's the problem ... the filter is a little bit different to the one the picture is showing (it's mounted on the side of the engine) - but changing oil is quite easy and simple.
