My experience of directional tyres on 3 very different vehicles and using F1s,452s, Kuhmo and Vederstein is that they can cause or exacerbate tramlining. Our Zed handles well with no vices on Ze912s.The cars were originally sold with Continental or Dunlop before directionals were created.

There is a Haynes Manual which includes the Z3. Haynes Repair Manual 18021 BMW 3-Series 1992-1998 (Also includes Z3 models). The problem with the 5 series (at least the E39) is the rest does not have a cut out to operate the handbrake.As the handbrake/parking brake is also intended as an 'emergency' brake ,having to lift the arm rest to operate the brake would result in an MoT fail

E36 Centre Arm Rest

Has anyone successfully used an E36 armrest in a Z3,before I start spending money.I realize that there are after market alternatives at a price,but I would prefer DIY using some OEM parts if possible.

Spacers bolted to hubs and wheels bolted to spacers is the proper engineering method for 15mm and above.These aren't really spacers,more hub extensions.

I had type 64 on my Zed originally,which I believe have the same offset as type 55.I had 20mm steel HC spacers which are the optimum to bolt to the hubs and then use your original wheel bolts to refit wheels.I am considering using these 20mm spacers wwith my current type 18s.

The courtesy switches are incorporated in the door latches.Top of interior switch down is off.Bottom of switch down is on.Cetral position is operated by ignition switch and central locking.

I think the confusion lies in the different traffic laws in UK,Europe and the USA.
Whereas they are classed as 'side lights' in UK and Europe and are white,in the USA they are 'side marker lights' and are amber.Until relatively recently I believe some Volvos had this setup also.

The last time I cleaned them was a while ago when fitting Damper reinforcement plates.I think you need to peal back the hood well carpet to access the drain funnels.

The drainage 'cups' are just behind the 'B' post at each side of the car.They are not easily visible with the hood fully down.

Storm still advertise the plain item as well as one with etched Storm Logo and shift pattern.I believe that the ///M version is discontinued.

The 2.8 is generally accepted as the most economical.Mine averages around 33mpg but it once managed 40mpg in ideal conditions.
