Yes that's correct! However - why is the oil level lamp coming on? If I'm correct this is to say your oil needs topping up? I was looking at a BMW Independant website today - and it is quoted as saying there is a new ecu/software update for 2013 for the z3!

I know this isn't much help up there in the north but I've had my rear window replaced for under £200 all inclusive - fantastic job done at a reputable company in Exeter...I'm sure there must be somewhere similar up north?

Yh I've got the electric hood, I like the idea of the blanket, but I also like folding my roof back when I'm mid jorney if the sun comes out etc so not really practical from that point if view! Quite disappointed that its got a line so quickly :(

Yh funny you should mention this only after the first day of putting roof down there is now a noticeable line in the rear window - sad as it looked nice all new! Hi

Can anyone help please - I'm using my iPhone and want to put some photos up but it keeps saying something similar to "board quota has been used up" and it won't let me download photo? I've tried using smallest option it shows but still no luck, I'm using tapatalk! Any advice appreciated?

I've never used these eagle tyres any good? I'm currently using continental pro sport 5 on the rear and 3's on the front until they wear out and then intend to go to 5's. I've found them great so far has anyone else tried them know which are better?

Good to see I'm not alone! Sadly, have a rattle coming from exhaust so in garage at moment, possibly a stone in exhaust or a broken bracket according to mechanic after a quick look?!

Rear window

Can anyone tell me (roughly) what a reasonable price is to pay for a new rear window?

I know some say its relatively easy to do it yourself but things always go wrong when I touch them so prefer to pay and have done without any catastrophes!

Thanks Chrisp 1, that's really useful info - thanks for taking the time to write it. I did a small test today and drove about 1/2 mile before it started to blow hot air - which from the sounds of it is about right? New rag to be a new permanent feature in the old girl! Cheers!

I'm curious why you think that? I had a brand new gear box put in by BMW at a cost of £3000 ( had I not had the warranty), appreciate BMW prices are over inflated but nonetheless the £500 warranty covered it, had I not had it then I'd be forking out a lot even if not done by BMW?

Thanks Brian, unfortunately there is no heat coming from them, this may be that they are not heated mirrors, but I read somewhere that if you have heated seats I should have heated mirrors as this was a package (this may be incorrect info!). So I'm just trying to establish if mine are heated or not?...

Thanks for the reply gazza, apologies if I'm sounding stupid here but not mechanically minded at all! Will the mirror simply pop out if I pull on it? Or is there a special way to take a look at the rear of the mirror?

Thanks for the reply. Is there any way to confirm if they are heated or not? If mine are I don't think they are working and don't want to go to dealer asking for new ones if they are not heated! Could be embarrassing!

Thanks guys for those really helpful replies. The diagram is perfect I now understand where the heat should be coming from! This in turn makes me think that both seats are faulty as I don't get any heat from the upper part of the back rest on both chairs! Will be off to BMW to see what they can do!
