The z3 is gone so I've got a few bits, can be collected in Dublin or I'm up north quite a bit so could meet up that direction or I can post to the UK: Bentley manual in pristine condition £50/€60 (postage to UK will be £20 as it's pretty heavy unfortunately) *SOLD* http://i.imgur.com/c1pQ2q2l.jpg Pa...
Thanks for sharing your experience. I've done this in the past on cars I've had with some bad stone chips and with plenty of care it can give good results but I think with the amount you had I'd be taking the easy solution and get a "blow over" ah but then i'd never have had the chance to...
we live and learn, if someone can learn from my mistakes then that'll save someone from doing the stupid things I've done for them! The bonnet looks a lot better than before so I'm happy. I'd have been even happier if I hadn't ****** some of it up. But those bits are only ever really going to be not...
since the last post I've managed to change to smoked side repeaters and fit my ACS pedals and that's about all. The cold and snow hasn't helped since its my daily driver too, though I found putting a few blocks in the boot helped over some of the most extreme snow. anyways, after the latest stonechi...
so ever since I first got the z3 there were a number of cosmetic things I wanted to do, high on the list was addressing the measle like bonnet which has attracted a rather large amount of stone chips. (Apologies for not great quality pics, camera phone was all I had) It looked thus: http://lh3.ggpht...
I think I read somewhere that you should do the wash, clay, wax in the one period if possible. Leaving overnight will let contaminents on the surface before you seal with wax.

smoked side repeaters on the way via flee bay. ACS pedals arrived today, is it wrong to want to leave work to go and go fit them? pics will be added when I get to it, probably tomorrow
I too have heard the android phones are getting better and better ? +1 for android I have a HTC hero with android, newer version is HTC Desire aka Nexus one (google phone). Same breed of animal as an iphone, i prefer android as it's open source and you can tinker more. one big plus for most people ...
sorry, missed the replys. I forgot about taking the tips off to see exactly how it's meant to be. that's another job for this weekend! and alas my lil z has no garage to call home so has to face the elements each night. strangely i've been absentmindedly pondering how joyous having a garage would be...
Hi, I have the 2.8 and get 37-38 mpg  what's your secret :) I have a 2.8 and was getting an average of 27-28 mpg (mind you i have a pretty heavy right foot at times). I do on average 40m a day mostly motorway driving apart from when i can get out to twisty mountain roads :D So for my last ta...
http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/carextras/1442651 boston green Z3 breaking in a place outside Dublin if anyone is interested in any bits. I may take the front lights after Monday if they available (the front end is provisionally gone to someone which may include the lights) so if anyone wants some...
Jacking it up to get to unreachable bits, great idea! Though do you then clean the entire undeside while you're down there? I think I may put that on the to do list :D I've never talked to my neighbors as often either as I'm now outside at the car a lot more so we must remember the social benefits o...
i was running out of time but there is a spot for a screw underneath so i'm presuming i can replace. if i can get outside today i'll investigate a remove and replace. alas i've currently got the job of feeding the hungry masses and for some reason i dont think the'll accept a big mac meal so i can g...
Got a few hours yesterday and decided to get into my engine bay. Haven't got around to sorting out a hose and washer which actually goes to the front of the house so i used autoglym machine cleaner and an empty spray bottle. I'm taking it more as a first pass than anything. And the last pics are of ...
I think they set up their own forum - Irish Zedders will have to check them out too, though this will bring the total joined forums to 4 in the last few weeks purely because of my zed :) Yeah definately if im back down i'll give you a shout! Would be good to get a bit of a run organised! I think i ...
a word of warning :head: decided to invest in some Autoglym HD wax as a 2 for 1, just checked them now and one is empty. Will have to mosey back in tomorrow and have a bit of a barney with them. Some sneaky fella off with some free HD wax, now hopefully I don't get stung for it! So no harm in checki...
I've spotted two other z's since I've had mine, I even waved as I passed one as I passed but received a scowl! If you're ever down dublin way again let me know and I can make sure you see at least one other z! I'm usually up and down from tyrone every few weeks so if we get a few more people we coul...
I see there are some older posts about irish cruises but nothing of late. Just wondering are there any other irish zedders on the forum still? I know it isn't just me flying round the country with a big cheesy grin, or is it?
It's a confusing world in the world of polishing and waxing! But a few short weeks ago I'd never heard the letters SRP and I thought clay was for pots, wax for candles and detailing was what I did on drawings! And perish the thought of walking or of halfords with more cleaning products than I've eve...
If I were you I'd sign up with google. Its probably the best and you have access to their other services with one log in. first useful one that comes to mind for here is uploading pics to picasa to share here :) You can set up your mail program (outlook etc) to get your mail so you don't have to use...
I'll third that suggestion, very handy app. I use it with other forums (on android not an iphone though )
I mean to install it on a forum of mine this weekend hopefully which is also phpbb so I'll give some input on the installation procedure etc after. (hopefully it'll be painless)
