Re: Alarm - help needed please
Thank you for that, I'll try to get at it, look like water bottle out etc.
Do you know if it is a clever siren or could I just fit an aftermarket unit?

Alarm - help needed please
I own a S54 and am somewhat confused. In the literature for the car it says that an alarm is standard. In the Thatcham records it states that ALL Z3s have alarms as standard. I lock the car with the button on the key - so alarm set. yes? To test the alarm, I unlock the the door with the key, not on ...

Re: MK Motorsport Exhaust
Fitted them on Monday - took about an hour and half. First thing was they are not as loud as I thought, but at low revs, a very deep note. The overal tone seems smother, but without hearing it race by I cannot give full comment. One thing that was very noticable, the engine seemed much smoother and ...

MK Motorsport Exhaust
After much searching, I have just received from Germany a set of MK Motorsport silencers (!?!). They were manufactured by Remus for MK and according to Remus are the same apart from the tail pipes - they have 70mm i/d pipes with a short kick up . They are meant to improve flow etc etc and should be ...

Re: Pair of tickets available
I have a pair of 3 day tickets available - any offers? I booked them on the club deal - the car pass is probably no use as it is has my reg no. on it, but maybe the organisers could help out. Unfortunately, we are now not able to attend. I booked eveything ages ago, even got a super deal at a hotel!...

M Roadster/Coupe Standard Silencers
I have a pair of standard silencers from a Z3M up for offers. They are clean, in good condition and have all the mounts with them.
They are heavy so its collect from Hastings or probably around £50 to ship them.

Re: Hosepipe bans
Glad we didn't fill the well in! It's been laying dormant for 30 years - not any more.
15m deep with 4m of water, draper pump and 25m hose - bingo!
Checked with SWA and as long as it is my water source, I can use it "with" a hosepipe/ pressure washer.

Hi Ron,
Unfortunately we will not be able to join you as "family" are invading over that week-end.
We have registered for Silverstone - all days, so see you then if not before.
Hope you have a good cruise!

From an early age I fell in love with the Austin Healey 3000. the engine was a 6 cylinder masterpiece, 2 seater, long bonnet, close to the ground - an absolute classic sports car, but always out of my price range!!! At one time they were not that regarded and not that expensive - then what happened ...

Hi to all I'm afraid that I hardly ever post, just lurk alot! I will try to submit more this year! However, thought I would just pass on some current info that may be of interest. Much has been written regarding possible bearing shell failure on certain S54 engines. Although this was aimed at the 34...

These items are kicking round my garage, they came with my M roadster, the prevoius owner had removed them and fitted a USB head unit. They are not required - I dont know if they work, but free to whoever wants to collect them. (located near Hastings) or I can ship them by courier at cost.

Just came across a note which I meant to post some months ago. Back in October an S54 was offered on Pistonheads and was discussed in the stock exchange forum. I have a pair in my "box of bits" , I paid £30 on ebay for them last year - with a plan to do a mod to them - no time - so they may as well go.
Split the difference at £25 if you are interested.
PM me for contact details.

Imola Red Z3M S50 LHD For Sale
This is an extreeeeemly low mileage Z3M, you might even say "just out of the box!" Possibly a one off as it has a tan and black interior. Tyres are unworn and in fact it looks like new! It comes complete with its own Burago garage!. (box) Bad points, there is a small bump on the bonnet tha...

6 Cylinders in a straight line just sounds right I’ve had lots of straight 6s, all BMWs and they sound right and go right The Z3 is an unassuming car – slightly retro in its styling and appears small. I had a Z3 2.8 in 1999 for only a few months, hated the colour – dark silver metallic, almost as ba...

There is a small trim that goes around the headlight washer jet. They are different for each side - I need the o/s (drivers UK) side. The BMW Stealer will only sell a replacement washer jet unit for silly money!

Wanted - boot luggage rack
As the boot is limited in capacity for a good tour,(managment informs me that more space is required) I am seeking the original BMW part. I understand that it came as a kit - chrome or black, but it is not available from BMW Mainstealers stock anymore.

I know of 2 that failed - one dramatically on the M42. Blew a hole in the engine casing. Might be a picture on a very early thread. No warning just bang. It was identified that a small batch of sub standard parts were used during a 6 week time frame that led to the problem. I would assume, rightly ...

Hi, this is my first post to Zroadsters. I have recently purchased a Z3M S54 LB64009 built March 2001 First Reg May 2001 in Titan Silver with matching hard top, Black Hood, Imola red/black interior. I picked it up in August and it has only covered 18500 miles. Its not run in!!! Has now done nearly 2...
