Many thanks for your responses. I tried leaning on the door and hay presto the door release worked and thanks for the utube video link very useful if I have to remove the door cover in future.

Thanks for your advice and experience of this problem, I definitely believe that the chain cover has a leak so have booked it into my local garage for investigation and rectification, will let you know if they find any other leak locations.

Can anyone give me any guidance re a problem I have with the operation of my wipers. Thanks for your reply, watched video which was quite explicit, removed one of my wheel but found that my model differs from the video. Did notice that the brake pads look low so will change these and see what effect that has on the handbrake operation.

Z3 hand brake adjustment
Just a query on the pros and cons of adjusting the handbrake on a 2002 Z3 roadster 1.9i. My local garage says its not a straight forward job, has anyone undertaken this adjustment, if so whats involved.

Thanks for the guidance, I've checked the reservoir and the oil level was about 50mm below the top, can you tell me what is the desired level in the reservoir?

Should have said in my original post that this is a 1.9 injected engine year 2002. Could the problem be with one of the injectors. Would a diagnostic check pick up which injector was faulty?

Well that's it radiators out and expansion tank removed, off to the garage tomorrow to get either o rings/seals or a replacement tank. Thanks for that advice Jonco, as you say easy when you know how, now to drain down, remove the hose pipes and temperature probe and withdraw the radiator, fingers crossed.

Thanks for the response to my questions. It sounds like removing the radiator to access all of these O rings will be the best option, as you say getting the quick release fixings off without damaging them appears to be the first hurdle, any advice on achieving this?

Hi, I've experienced this problem before but it occurred during a very cold winter period and cured itself once the temperature improved.
