Thanks people was a good help, mrscalex I didn't know it was called an emblem so thats helped a lot. I took the car to a BMW independent who took the roof down and pulled to no avail. Nightmare. Just back from the coach works and read this. My father in law had his brand new Merc convertible keyed last week at Cribbs Causway in Bristol . Bonnet and all the way down the side . No CCTV apparently.
Anyways he gets the car back in 4 days and around £1200 quid lighter.

Thanks guys. Was really impressed how good the car is over distance, eats the miles up and with sports seats not in the least tiring. Hi Recently returned from 2500 mile road trip in the Z3. Drove down through France via Napolians Route to Cannes, which I can highly reccomend. Yes, thanks for the good work. As a new owner I have found it invaluable. My z3 hadn't been used much for a couple of years before I bought it so had lots of niggles all easily put right by using the knowledge base. It's definitely saved me a good bit of money too.

I went for Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 - 225/45 R17 think they are very good. So far anyways. They were on offer at Camskills just over £80 each.

Titan it was a visit to Halfords that caused me to ask on here as I stood dejected looked at the light show that was their Wall of sound.. Plus I wanted something that was more in keeping with the z3 dash. Funnily enough an audio shop suggested Alpine as the boy said they are a bit more ordinary..so...

We have only had our Z3 a couple of weeks and initially I thought the steering was terrible. Yes the car had 2 new tyres on the front but they were different makes, tread pattern and speed rating. Went for 205 so how would I have known how old the unit was or Is that immaterial. Any questions I could ask regarding he Becker which if I am being honest had never heard of until I joined the forum.

Hi I am looking for a bit of advice / help here I want a basic head unit with radio, cd and iPhone connectivity for the Z3 I don't like flashing lights ond futuristic displays Something along the lines of the Becker in looks.

Great idea, I have been looking at this and must say I found it all rather baffling as to what does what. Do they cover ABS as just forked out £36 for a reset.

Ok rang Platinum Alloys in Swindon who tell me the 2 chromes are the same but one gets more flash over the base black in chrome than the other hence the darker shade also they don't mask up the black on the inside all for £90 a corner. They have samples for both so will have a look alongside the car...

Will call the company I use in Swindon who have been 100% with my wheels in the past to see if they can do these colours and I definitely like the shiny black inner barrel of the rim. If it were mine, I would try to contact previous owner/owners and politely enquire about damage / repairs and use google etc to look for any info relating to the car. I think that looks stunning. Is that back chrome powder coat. Were they ok about doing the inside of the wheel in black ?
