There are a number of alarm issues that arise on the Z3,

could be the radio sensor behind the head unit,
I also had issues with the bonet sensor, quite common.

In the end I had my entire alarm wiring ripped out by BM and replaced...

if you've got a Windows mobile phone, then try this,
Its free and works pretty well. Well not bad for free, does Postcode look ups over your data packge, so its not free as such, but if you have unlimited data, then its not an issues.

I was clearing out my Garage at the weekend and found a few old Z3/BMW items,

Any body in need of a 5sp wooden gearknob? came off my Z3and my Z4 a few years back.

I also have some of the blue BMW seatbelt cover things, the ones that stop the seatbelt rubbing your neck....

You are correct on all fronts. It stiffens the Suspension, and increases the throttle response. Im sure it does affect the MPG, But I never noticed, I drove around in mine ( when I had one :bawl: ) and always saw 28MPG, I would put it on for a Blatt and leave it off at all other times.. Others left ...
