Re: Remove original radio from 1991 Z1

Without knowing which radio was fitted to your car it is difficult to be emphatic on removal instructions. BMW logod radios of the time were made by Blaupunkt, Alpine and Becker to name but three! The common Blaupunkt fitting of the time has odd sized allen screws on either side of the face under sm...

Keith,

Agree strong price. Amazed at how baggy the seats are after only 12k miles. The seats and the under bonnet photo would not lead you to believe the car was loved or well looked after imho!
Also why would anyone, even it was done before importation, fit non original side repeaters?

Keith, I have read Marco's article which suggests most leak. Also he says this is a result of plastic distortion of the lens caused by the distance between the two screws. I am confused by the posts here. I have never seen a Z1 with an enamel bonnet badge. I replaced my bonnet badge some years ago due to discolouration. This badge has two pins on the rear which fit into plastic inserts in the bonnet. I replaced the inserts as well as the badge. Additionally my badge was also secured with a bit of non setting black mastic. The Z1 emblem on the boot lid...
