Well, !!i got the new camshaft sensor, installed it and car is like new. Also all the warning lights have gone out, my ABS and brake wear warning lights have gone out so i guess this was really it.

Thanks for the reply Robin. I also think this is the case. I tried replacing aith and old one but same symtoms. I guess the old one is knacked as well. Got my local indi coming next week with his box of tricks so we will check the error codes.

well i put a new battery in but nothing. Looks like starter motor is screwed. I think I can get it out from below as long as trhe screws are not too tight and I have 6 elbows!!! Will check power is at the starter terminals first but need a spare pair of hands to do so.

Just did a big check of the battery. Off load it shows 13V but when put on load it drops to 8V! so it seems it is a screwed battery. I run a fleet of electric boats so am quite used to having a 2V cell or two go down as each boat has 6*2V cells inline. Also the old battery is not taking charge quick...

As in France I do not need a tax disc but have insurance and CT (MOT) stickers instead. I thought I'd remove the tax disc holder but then realised in incorporates the external aerial for the mobile phone. Looking for a Roadster "taxdisc" to put in it.

Managed to finally get hold of a new radiator. Coming to France from Netherlands via UK. Seems like a run on busted ones at the moment. Arrives Friday, be fitted Friday so out and about again at the weekend.

Well, spent a really good morning replacing the front right hand side shock. Pretty easy job really just bolts and bits. Thanks for the info on the tensioner. Rad is totally intact. Fan hitting pulleys seems to have done the damage to the fan. Lucky really. Nice to see the Zed used in the test crash had no intrusion into the passenger cell. I think the Zed is actually a very safe car for the occupants. The damage to the Zed was all up front. Would like to see the result of a side impact on the Zed to compare.

Finally got my money back on them. Old perished rubber bushes. Got old mounts in now as they are OK but will replace with better new ones when Ive read all recommendations from you guys.

HI Pingu? I changed the top mounts as well. Fairly easy with a vice, spanner and mole grips to hold the shock bar whilst undoing the top nut. I had a similar problem resulting in snapping the accelarator cable near the throttle pedal. I suggest you dont mess with oiling the old cable but just replace with a new one. Not a difficult job just a PITA getting the new cable through bulkhead.
