Try applying 'Gummi pfledge' to the rubbers. I have an old BMW branded tube which works wonders in 'plumping up' the rubbers and fixing the leaks, but I think the original formula was withdrawn because of a suspected health risk. There is a modern equivalent of the same name, but I don't know how ef...

RED puts out less CO2 in a year than an average mileage Prius, yet the VED is many times more.

Oh, and RED has never been in the Congestion Tax Zone and hopefully never will.

Just shows how well built these cars are and how great they can look with a little TLC.
Seems like a real bargain at that price.

Oil temp in an ///M engine must reach 80deg before going past 3k rpm. It's the LAW...!
As I understand it, this is to make sure that the VANOS has a full supply of warmed oil before it gets a hammering.
That's why our S50s and S54s have oil temp gauges....

With an ///M (ie: no spare of any kind), the best insurance is AA Relay or similar. So long as you've got mobile signal, you'll be ok. With the new road tax regulations and paying monthly, it's really easy to SORN / UNSORN online on a monthly basis.
But to be cost effective, (ie: to work the system to best advantage) you just have to make sure you SORN at the end of the month.
