Thanks for your suggestion, Ferdinand, we have also been to see the tapestry about three years ago, it was amazing, like stepping back in time, a real piece of history for England and France, then to see the D Day landing sites along the Normandy coast makes you realise what a sacrifice the soldiers...

Just a thought Guys, what about taking out the magnetic strip altogether, it would only need a special stitch unpicking tool and if done carefully would still be neat and the anchor round the wing mirrors and the weight quality of the material would possibly keep it in place. If you look at our pics at the beginning of the thread, on our cover the Magnetic strip isn't sewn right on the edge of the cover, it is approx. 1" up from the rubber piping, maybe the manufacturing is not consistent and some of the covers had the magnetic tape sewn nearer to the edge, then because ...

Still haven't had a problem with ours, having had it since June last year, we have not had any scratching or marks at all. It is a good quality product a fits the bill prefectly!
