It is just my opinion, of course:
Compare the above with the display colour on an E46. The E46 cluster isn't the same layout as the Z3's but the colouring is pretty much identical from what I can see.

Hello and welcome, Luke. Can you tell us what make of tyres you have fitted all round the car and their relative tread levels? When going over bumps in the road, more commonly around bends, the Z3 has a tendency to experience scuttle shake. Do a search on this forum for that term and see if the symp...

Just to note before I say anything, I do like quite a lot of spirited driving. It's why I have my Z and I'm sure others are of the same opinion, and as such what I say below doesn't just apply to pootling around town, it also includes enjoying myself round curvy backroads et al. I've had Goodyear Ea...

Here's an example of Becker head units . The design fits in with the interior unlike most aftermarket radios, and the website CAS is not a bad supplier either. I've used them in the past and always found their delivery to be prompt. Without a doubt, they are better quality (and cheaper) than what yo...

You say you put the power on too early, Does this mean regardless of the tyres the result would have been the same? No, I've put the power on a bit too early a few times in my 2.0 as well and the tyres haven't had an issue keeping up. In fact, I find it rare that I lose traction with the current se...

Take a look at the first link I posted in my reply on this thread. It can happen. Best whip those old tyres off and put on a set of Falken FK-452's (or Toyo Proxes T-1R as they are in the same price range), which have more grip than what's necessary for a 1.9 and at quite a reasonable price (£...

Don't despair if you find a set of wheels with a larger centre bore. (74.1mm is quite common on BMW wheels) as you can fit spigot rings to take up the slack. An example HERE If the wheels do have a larger centre bore and they are fitted uncorrected, expect to feel vibration throughout the car due t...

Sorry, I don't get that. I would beleive a car sat in a dry garage and not driven would have less wear and tear on components. T-Cut is not a product that should ever be used, IMO. It contains abrasives that do not reduce in size as they are worked into the paint. If the rims are the same fitment front and rear, ET40, then 25 or 30 mm spacers will be needed, however the seller does state that they can supply a direct fit for ///M's as well. Maybe worth asking a question to clear it up. EDIT: ......or mayb...

....I came across this thread. The second reply post is scary.
On a side note though, I've pinned my issue down heat shield over the exhaust manifold, causing an irritating rattle. I'm just glad it has nothing to do with the viscous fan!

Simply pull firmly, not in a jerky manner, and don't twist. Several owners on the forum, myself included, have opted for a Storm gearknob as a replacement. It definately makes changing gears a lot more slick and less clunky.
