Get someone to push the bonnet shut while you pull the cable. It should open. That is what I have to do to open our bonnet at the moment on our 90 Landrover, and it works every time. Sandy has to pull the cable and I push down on the bonnett. It might be just a Landrover, but the principal is the s...

Thanks for the info. Is it not possible just to renew the balljoints on the wishbone, instead of the whole wishbone.
Not sure about the poly bushes, I've heard that they give a very harsh ride and transmit more noise into the car

Yeah you'll need a big hammer and a fork type ball joint splitter! Also there's a 22mm bolt hexhead holding the inner ball joints on which can be a bit of a pig to get too! Two 18mm bolt hexheads on the rear circular bush and one holding the outer ball joint on. You'll see when you get under there ...

ZedDad The headlights are marked for masking off. When looking from the front of the car towards the rear, you simply fill in the left hand set of square ticks - see shaded area below. In practice I found that you don't need to fill the lower half of the shaded area. It's easy to tell if you've got...

The car we have now is our second Z3, we have tried the Z4, it would be a little more practical, having a bigger boot, but we love the shape of the Z3, its curvy, sexy and exciting to drive. Some years ago we had an MGB GT, which we enjoyed. We went to all the club meets and made many friends. The Z...

This can be dangerous in the extreme, but is mostly just embarassing. The car is a 2litre 6 cylinder. When this happens the engine needs to b...
