Although I haven't seen one of these fitted, I can tell you that it doesn't come with the modified trim parts that finishes the job properly. I have a 2.8 and the steering is heavy. I've had BMW's before and my last 1 series was the same. It gives you a more planted feel than the usual super assisted systems on most cars these days.

They do lots of colours, I've been quoted £520 for the Red, but black and blue are cheaper. I spoke to Ian who sent me a sample of the material.

I think it takes between 1 and 2 hours to do. Given that a new window would be £150+ it was worth the cost. We'll have a day out too.

Thanks for the help. There is no click when the switch is pushed back or forward. I disconnected the plug from the motor and used a multi meter to see if power was going through. No power at that plug which is why I think it may be the switch. It looks like the plastic trim will have to come off the...

I have a problem with the passenger electric seat. It goes up and down but not back and forth. Unfortunately its jammed as far back as it will go. Oddly enough I had this too...very easy fix for me. Within the engine compartment on the drivers side near the suspension top mount is a join in the pipe, mine had come adrift meaning the water was just dripping down to the floor.

Added a Z3 to the household fleet on Wednesday. She really belongs to my better half but I'll be the one bringing her back to her best.
