Are you sure the fluid you saw under the car was not just water (condensation) which is what you will get from any car with AC on it that has been running, sounds to me someone has been taking the mickey re needing to spend a £1K when a test has shown it to be ok... you are supposed to run a AC syst...

Good post this with sound reasoning! Before I bought the car I have I looked at 3 others (all in the Kettering area) they ranged from a 2litre to the 2.8litre and priced from £5k - £6k all were at dealers I hasten to add, 1st one sounded good in the ad, £6k '51 plate, 51K miles, yellow, just service...

Take it you are filling it to the brim, I wonder if the fuel tank breather is partialy blocked and you are getting a bit of an airlock in the tank untill the level has gone down a tad and there is an air gap. What happens if you say only threequarter fill the tank is it ok then? I'm clutching at str...

Why replace it who needs to know what engine is under the bonnet? Alot of Z3's don't have engine size badges with the facelift cars being the ones most commonly having them although I seem to recollect BMW giving you the option when buying any of their new cars back in the day the option of removin...
