Re: Z3M S50 died this morning

The problem with buying any secondhand performance car regardless of make is unless you know its history you have no idea how its been treated, most likely thrashed to an inch of its life, never warmed up beforehand, skipped servicing etc. You can't really blame BMW to be honest. If you want trouble...

I'm guessing its your only car otherwise I would keep it, for the enjoyment they give over what you would get cash wise its not worth selling. You could keep it as a family heirloom for when the new arrival is grown up :)

I thought the conclusion was throw your flat in the boot and tie the bootlid down. No a full size whhel won't fit but enough of it will to get it to a repairer.

Or carry a tyre plug kit :)

I keep my spacesaver in the boot rather than it slung under the Zed and it fits in comfortably so I reckon an 18" wheel and tyre will fit in reasonably enough that you can tie the boot lid down enough for it to be safe for a shortish distance. Has anyone actually tried this? I would agree with ...

They would be over 1K here in the UK fully refurbished for genuine wheels, they must be copies at that price otherwise I would bite the sellers hand off as thats an absolute bargain.

The facelift roof lining can be retrofitted to cars that don't have it, so it is not part of the roof.
