My kit arrived today.
Looks very nicely made.
Seat is coming out to have the bolster refurb'ed next week so it will go back in with the kit.
Thanks

As well as the usual M54 oil use there is a fairly well known oil leak problem from the oil filter gasket where the unit is bolted to the block, when the gasket ages and becomes brittle. This can happen with no oil showing on the floor under the car as it only leaks when under pressure and the oil g...

For the rear window edging black silicon sealer makes a good adhesive (and sealer). A thin bead under the edge and then tuck it back in place. This isn't going to be leaking into the boot though. Sounds like it could be the slipper ring that's dried out.
If you take the steering column cover off you should be able to direct a some silicone spray into it with one of those long nozzles that come with aerosol lubricants (if you haven't lost it like I usually do).

Changing the gearbox oil is a very good idea and I suggest also fitting an Earl's braided clutch hose.
The original flexible pipe can expand when hot leading to the clutch not fully disengaging. The Earl's braided hose sorts that.

It's probably the jet. They have non return valve built in that has a habit of failing.
If you release the bonnet soundproofing you may well find the jet is leaking.
They are not very expensive. About £3 I think.

Silver centres with powder coat "chrome" rims. Not polished as nobody says they'll last any time in real use.
