Hi r37, the reason i stated wire wool was it sounded like you had blisters on the wheels and cream would be no good , you would need something more abrashive to remove it , but if its just a stain then cream or similar would do the trick

Stevenb, i think you will find whatever you do to the oem box it is still restricted, it can only take so much air in, but the simota or K+N can take as much as you can give, so you run the extra pipe to you simota or K+N from the bumper bottom mesh area and take it to the front of the filter.

I am not sure where you can get one to fit yours but i had one from a stockist in New York for my 1.9, but there was already one on my M, as they are standard with the original box.

hi Gazhyde. Simota looks good but i notice you dont have a heat shield, i know the air goes through the front of the simota but you also need to keep the carbon housing cool on the outside ,so it is easy to fit one

I would say on that point of the boot failings is that you would probably have to drive them to their extreme to suffer from that problem, the car is quick enough without thrashing it. I drive mine and never give it a second thought.

welcome to the forum mate. I started with a lovely 1.9 and did everything to it , chipped, strut brace, k+n filter etc and it was fantastic, the only thing is you have missed the summer so will have to wait to REALLY enjoy it.

The best sounding one in my opinion is the K+n exposed filter, had one on my 1.9 and it was a nice sound. I have the simota now nice but not as obvious.

Thats not a clear question. The Z3M has an electric roof and only works when you have the ignition on or engine running with your foot on the brake, you also have to undo the 2 catches and lift the roof clear of its holding area, about 6 ins

The best place i know is Longlife exhaust sysyems. There is one near Newport and possibly one close to you. i had a stainless steel exhaust from the cat with a perforated twin back box for my previous 1.9, it was fantastic and was about £385
