My mate had a 3.0 petrol for a while then bought a newer 3.0d (both autos) as the petrol was only doing about 18mpg while the dirty derv sees high 20s to low 30s

Ill try taking the fuse for the actuator out later and see if that might work.

Im still stuck on this...cant get the door unlocked...and its doing my head in!!!!! I cant even get in at the mechanism to try oiling it to see if that helps. Theres no noise from the actuator. Ive looked at the wiring loom into the boot and it seems intact. Has anyone any other suggestions???

The door pin is down and every time I pull the release inside the pin pops up but springs back down again

Hopefully it was not too badly damaged at some point...those are pretty big panel gaps between door, wing and bonnet

Have a check round the area for any other cctv cameras that might have caught it...theyre everywhere these days!

The brake fluid indicator clock symbol has just come on for me today but all the fluids where changed when I got the car serviced last June when I bought it...is the indicator reset a dealer only job??? There doesnt seem to be a definitive answer anywhere

A good bit of advice...carry a few bungee cords, plastic sheet and some old cloths in the car...you can then squeeze the punctured wheel in the boot and secure it to get you home or to a tyre place if youve got a passenger
