The car is a 1998 model - which engine will this have in it, i understand that there were 2 types

I use to owned a Ford Puma Racing and it would do the same ...to the degree where it would just cut out when at junctions and stuff . It was something to do with the idle control i took it into garage and they replaced this part and had no probs after
