According to my notes the rivet for the door brushes is 51 47 1 911 992.
This is the same as is used on the rear bumper cover fixing.

Sounds as if you guys had a great and very busy weekend. Sorry to have missed it, both for the workshop and the socialising. See you in the Cotswolds.

What looks like the hose kit appears to have black external covering. Is this over the usual woven stainless braid? Is the hose kit one of Franz's specials or does it have a makers name?
I'm in the market for new brake and clutch hoses.

There is, or at least there was a Z1 with aircon in the UK. It is aYellow car and was imported from the UAE a few years ago. The installation was neat. I saw it when Paul Drawmer organised a Z lunch meeting in the Cotswolds and the new lady owner brought it along.

Strongly reccommend you do not remove rear valence. It is , in my opinion, the most difficult body panel to remove/replace. I have done it in a well equipped workshop but would not advise in typical DIY situation.

Have looked at my car which is original and untouched (ALO1555) and there are two washers on each bolt. One under the head and one under the nut. These I assume are the parts listed on the OEM Site and the BMW Parts CD.

No the hardtop fittings come with the hardtop and the standard car will not take the hardtop without them. The fittings are no longer available so it is important not to buy without the mounting sockets etc.
