Re: Emmisions air pump removal

I had to replace mine about a year ago. It sounded like a jet engine on startup! Its easy to get off, from what I remember 4 bolts with rubber damping pieces to undo. Be careful you don`t damage them when you take them off because you`ll need to use them again. Undo all hoses attached to the body an...

I agree with you Peter. What I find is as bad, is modern led brake lights. They seem brighter than fog lights when on and annoy me as much as the bright headlights.

Dead easy to fit. There might be something in the knowledge base. Always good to replace grommets if you`re going to do it. Grommets are cheap. New base is serious money though.

I had the same scenario with mine a couple of years ago and it was like searching for rocking horse s***. I got one from a scrapyard in Wales in the end. If you put the part number in real oem it`s also found on most 3' E36 cars which will give you more scope in your search. Good luck http://www.rea...

Hi, I did all you have done to try and eliminate tramlining but it wasn`t until I replaced the wishbone bushes with Powerflex purple bushes that it all but disappeared. New OEM bushes made very little difference on my car.

I used Soft Tops in Croydon for my new hood and after some research asked them to make up a pocketed version for me. If you look on BMW TIS there is an explanation of why the pockets were added (basically to help with folding and reduce wear). The price is a bit higher but I felt it was worth it. I...

I`ll take a pic today. I don`t think it would affect fuel trims anyway. It only runs for a minute or so at startup and was introduced to reduce emissions from a cold engine in the American market.

I have just replaced mine on a 99 2.8. Mine`s in front of the drivers side suspension turret (radiator side). You can`t miss it, it`s quite big. Looks like you have something else where mine is. I don`t think all 2.8 engines have them. Possibly just the TU ones.
