Sounds like low fluid but may be worth taking it to an auto specialist as topping up or changing is a bit complex but probably easy for someone who knows. I agree with DC. I have two centre consoles in the workshop here and the side trim cannot be removed from either, it forms the console itself! You will have to release the centre console and lift it up from the rear enough to get your hand in behind the clock. There are plenty wires in there, be careful not to dist...
