Re: ccv VALVE REPLACEMENT ON SIX CYLINDER

My car is a 3.0 and they have a reputation for using oil. Changing the valve has certainly reduced the oil consumption. Also when I removed them the large pipes from the airbox to the throttle body were very brittle and one split while I was pulling it off. No idea if or how badly it might have been...

Re: ccv VALVE REPLACEMENT ON SIX CYLINDER

The valve and all the hoses including the rubber connectors from the airbox to the throttle body cost me about £150 from Blue Bell BMW in Crewe.

Take a look at this topic on zroadster.org. http://zroadster.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1677 Contains links to 3 videos on Youtube that show you exactly how to do it. The videos are on a LHD car but are still very helpful and it is actually slightly easier on a RHD car. There are a couple of...

Re: Wanted : 4 x Centre Caps

Back in 2009 I bought 4 new centre caps from Blue Bell BMW for £10.65, according to my Z3 spending folder.

Give your local dealer a call. The same caps fit so many cars they are probably still pretty affordable.

I binned the eBay aero wipers cos they chattered and squeeled within a month of fitting.

Very little use too. The part where they clip onto the arm seemed to let them twist a bit which I thought was causing the problem.

Gone back to Bosch originals which work fine.

82 16 9 405 191 are front mudflaps that fit a 2000 3.0 Z3.

I bought some in late 2009 from my local dealer and I can assure you they fit because they've been on the car ever since.

As far as I could find out there are no rear mudflaps that fit facelift cars.

According to the 3.0 spec the only differences between Sport and non Sport are the wheels, centre console and seats. Both appear to have the M Sport suspension as standard.

It's close, but not an exact match for my car. I think ZC's car is Arctic silver and mine is Titanium.

You need replacement washer jet valves. The white part in your photo.

Cost me £2.60 each from a BMW dealer so they don't exactly break the bank.
