Re: ccv VALVE REPLACEMENT ON SIX CYLINDER
My car is a 3.0 and they have a reputation for using oil. Changing the valve has certainly reduced the oil consumption. Also when I removed them the large pipes from the airbox to the throttle body were very brittle and one split while I was pulling it off. No idea if or how badly it might have been...

Re: ccv VALVE REPLACEMENT ON SIX CYLINDER
The valve and all the hoses including the rubber connectors from the airbox to the throttle body cost me about £150 from Blue Bell BMW in Crewe.

Re: ccv VALVE REPLACEMENT ON SIX CYLINDER
Take a look at this topic on zroadster.org. http://zroadster.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1677 Contains links to 3 videos on Youtube that show you exactly how to do it. The videos are on a LHD car but are still very helpful and it is actually slightly easier on a RHD car. There are a couple of...

Re: Wanted : 4 x Centre Caps
Back in 2009 I bought 4 new centre caps from Blue Bell BMW for £10.65, according to my Z3 spending folder.
Give your local dealer a call. The same caps fit so many cars they are probably still pretty affordable.
Cheers

The Plough and Flail at Mobberley looks good :-) I'll declare why I asked now - I've been to the Frozen Mop 3 times and while the food is good the service on all 3 occassions was at best indifferent and slow. Took the edge off a birthday do last year. 3 strikes and you're out. Please put me + 1 down...

I'm 6ft and a lot of that is in my long body. It means I'm high enough to get the wind well and truly in my hair. Tried 2 or 3 baseball caps until I found one that fits well, is a good sunshade and it completely cancels the windy stuff. Doesn't blow off either (although that is how I lost the first ...

Autoglym HD Wax
I've looked at Autoglym HD Wax in Halfruads a few times and walked away 'cos they want about 40 quid for it. You can find it on eBay for about 25 quid so I decided to give it a go. I cannot recommend it enough. Easy to use, fantastic finish and washing the car after using it is so easy. Bug splat ju...

Consider a Mintex "Brake Box"
Quality kit for a very good price and I can recommend the supplier.
The ones in the link are for solid front discs but if yours are vented drop him an email. He'll have 'em in stock.
Cheers

Interesting info from that price list.Jonttt wrote:Full price list and spec list (sport v non sport) for 2001/02 models HERE
According to the 3.0 spec the only differences between Sport and non Sport are the wheels, centre console and seats. Both appear to have the M Sport suspension as standard.

All three should be backlit.
Two bulbs which you'll need to get from your BMW dealer.
A bit awkward but not too difficult a job.
Good guide available here

I got some pretty good quality blue mats from carmats4u.com. Cheesy name, I know, but the mats are good. You can choose mat colour and binding colour to match or contrast. Only problem I had with them is the fixings were not OEM but I used the ones from my old mats which transferred over easily enou...

Unless the Sony HU is being clever and putting power on the electric antenna feed only for radio, not for CD playing.....wonderloaf wrote:.... apparently the power cable for the electric antenna does the same thing, and that is included in the standard wiring harness, so need to use the seperate amp remote.

The clip should stay in the door card. You can get them out with a flat bladed screwdriver but because you are only levering on one side it tends to twist it out and you'll break a good few of them. They are cheap enough from the stealer but if you use a flat forked trim removal tool you should get ...
