Z3 Luggage - prices and opinions
Hi, 1 month today to my Alps trip, going with the GF this year, so storage will be critical!! Has anyone bought custom fit luggage? Is it worth the money? I've seen them for £120 ish, which is quite a lot of money for a few bags. However, I'm spectacularly disorganised, and I thought the lugga...

I think I've found the problem, but I need to take the rack off tonight to confirm. I've googled loads of pics of standard Z3 racks and the fixed hydraulic lines on the rack look like they are connected differently from the M rack. Quite why this would be I've no idea, but I recall happily removing ...

Power steering reassembled - major problem
Hi, I've finished reassembling the front suspension, had everything off and cleaned up, and have swapped the steering rack for a non-M one (quicker ratio). Once I'd found the PS fluid reservoir (removed the intake chamber) I topped up with Halfords PS fluid and, with the front wheels still off the g...

Picked the wheels up, the good news is they didn't ask me for any money. They apologised for not being able to do what I asked. Hi, I'm in the process of having my alloys refurbed. Left them with the company a few weeks ago, called in this lunchtime to collect them. I asked for a full refurb (shot blast, very minor kerb damage repair, repaint). They decided to only refurb the fronts, as the wheels "weren't in too bad a ...

Good to see it nearing completion! I agree, the rear looks a bit high, although it could be the angle of the photo. Rear alloys look good, less keen on the fronts, they look a bit under-dished (compared to the rears!!), but again, could be the angle. Are you still up for selling the front left stand...

H&R ARB adjustment
The rear H&R ARB has 2 holes, to alter the strength of the anti roll effect. Just can't work out which way is stiffer, I assume it's the outer holes as this will give more leverage, can anyone confirm?
Thanks,
Ian

I've got a new 320d as a daily drive, and my S50 feels no quicker when driving through the gears in normal traffic using just the first 3k revs. Modern turbo diesels feel incredibly grunty from 1500 revs, especially in part-throttle driving. Hi, Replaced the seat bushes yesterday, got some nylon ones off this forum (cheers aceman). One further advantage of installing the Rogue rear shock mounts is that you can subsequently remove the shocks from under the wheel arch, i.e. no need to remove internal trim to get at the retaining bolts, you can access from underneath. Although this is allegedly a bigger benefit to the coupe owner...

Rear hoses installed. Removing the old ones involves slackening off the 11mm nut at the end of the metal pipe, moving this out of the way, then removing the rubber hose from under the chassis bracket. Good condition rack wanted. PM me if you have one lying around or know of a Z3 being broken for parts that might have a good condition rack. These are quite popular with E30 and E36 modifiers due to the 2.7 or 2.8 ratio. I want to sharpen up the steering in my Z3M, which has the 3.2 rack. No urgency...
