I'll second Ebay - there's a few on there for around £200-£400.

Swapping isn't a massive job, an Indy should only charge 2 hours labour (or you can scuff your own knuckles!).

Thanks guys,

Decided to abort mission, I'm picking the wheels up tomorrow and taking them somewhere else. I've spent a considerable amount of time and money on the suspension \ underside refurb so far, so I'm not going to let shoddy wheels spoil the effect.

Good to see it nearing completion! I agree, the rear looks a bit high, although it could be the angle of the photo. Rear alloys look good, less keen on the fronts, they look a bit under-dished (compared to the rears!!), but again, could be the angle. Are you still up for selling the front left stand...

The rear H&R ARB has 2 holes, to alter the strength of the anti roll effect. Just can't work out which way is stiffer, I assume it's the outer holes as this will give more leverage, can anyone confirm?

Only fitted yellows to the rear so far, but there's much less dust than OEM. Not had any issues with pad noise.

Can't comment on braking performance as the rears do relatively little work compared to the fronts.

Yep, saw those, but £800 plus my seats for second hand recaro's is way out of budget. In fact new ones are £418 each from DT', though you'd need to add mounts at £50 per seat. Still too rich for me though.

Hi, I do find the seats a bit slippy as well. John - yes, the original bushes are rubber and they crush with age. My drivers seat ones were destroyed, passenger seat ones weren't as bad, but both seats were rocking under braking and accelerating. Nylon bushes cost me £10, search under stock exchange...

Changed my battery over a couple of months ago, £70 for a Bosch Silver from Costco (£122 in Halfords!).

The alarm siren went off when I disconnected the battery, but stopped when the new one was in place. Radio wasn't a coded one, so no problem there.

I agree about the adjustment. My new 3 series (non xenon) went back to BMW twice to have the headlights looked at, they are truly awful even when adjusted "properly", lighting up about 15 ft of road in front of the car, and then nothing else! At 70 on a dark road I think they are dangerous...

A selection of old jars with lids on in a variety of sizes is great for bending brake lines. Just use a pulling action as you bend and the pipe follows the curve of the jar.

Hoses are a straighforward job, unscrew the oldies, screw in the new ones, bleed the system. You'll need to remove the calipers, but it's fairly simple. The searching I've done so far only lists 2 racks - M and non-M, therefore I assume all non M's are the same. Real OEM lists the same part for all non-M's as 32131095577. Also, more googling has confirmed the ratio is 2.7 which sounds like a nice ratio for a road car based on my previous experience ...
