Today was the first day since October I was able to put my roof down. It was fitting that it was valentines day...I fell in love with the car all over again. It's coming up to 3 years of ownership...everyday It still makes me smile.

I have tried partsgateway etc. but all to no avail. I'm actually really suprised at the lack of them about.

The z3's on ebay that are breaking have all replied that headlight units have all gone.

The karts are not twin engined. The track is about 530m in length. the karts (our new ones being rolled out for easter) are de-restricted 200cc 4 strokes. I had the same after I contacted BMW UK customer service about the boot spot weld issue. The guy said that BMW UK would not take any action but trade your car under scrappage and have a new 118d....err no thanks

I try to only use Super unleaded (shell) (I also have a reward card with shell for fuel vouchers). Personally I feel the car runs better on it. I have found my cars through the years all seemed to go better on a certain fuel. Be it my C reg Nova on Texaco, Volvo S40 on BP and now the 2.8 Z3 on the S...

Dragging up this old thread again. After finding two failed spot weld on my car I contacted bmw using the e-mail and some other references to cases etc. One case was on a vehicle that is slightly older than my own. after a standard "sorry but we dont want to know e-mail" I replied question...

The plow is an attachment which will have some kind of hydraulics on it that will raise and lower the plows height.

It would be funny to see a plow not raise in time and wipe out a hump.

I too have had the "is it new" question" and jaws drop when they here the age and mileage.

Even had the "you must be doing alright to buy one of those"

It gives me a warm feeling of pride. A Z3 is a classic in my eye, regardless of age, mileage, engine etc.

Try putting a couple of bowls of salt in the footwells over a couple of nights, it will absorb alot of water. I did this recently and it made a world of difference.

The old autoglym super resin polish trick will clean it up. simply polish your rear screen inside & out with the super resin polish. might need a few treatments but will work a treat.

My rear screen when I bought the car was like a white piece of plastic. now..crystal clear.

I have one of those roadster solutions covers. Spot on for use over here with our winter. My car is a daily drive and I use my cover throughout winter. Great to come out in the morning, pull the cover off and be frost free and drive off when all my street are scraping away. Well worth it. Packs down...

I have had 3 cars that I sold withing 2 weeks of being on autotrader. Yes you do get the odd time waster but all cars have been sold in under 14 days. all for or very near to the asking price. Autotrader would be my first port of call if I had to sell again.

to be fair the more i think about it i do think what the point. i'm probably the only obsessive compulsive person that actually looks at emblems on the wheel centres and feels the nervous twitch inside of "ooo it would be better if they were all the right way" a bit of OCD kicking in again...

My father was telling me last night about how on his old MG Magnette ZA he made his wheel centre caps rotate so that when his car stopped the MG logo always showed the correct way. I have heard of this before and I though "now i wonder if thats possible to do with the BMW emblems on my wheels.&...
