Tescos 99 is just as good as V power but 3p/litre less. High octane fuels are only essential in high compression ratio engines such as the ///M. Well mine is not an ///M, but a 3 litre and I get a difference - 30 MPG instead of 25 I second that, I ONLY have a 3.0ltr Z4 and I always use Shell V-Powe...

Re: BMWCC Nurburgring Driver Training 2007
As usual I'm attending this 3 day event again this year and you'll be delighted to know that a number of ZRNet members are taking up the challenge this year! Some of the site's Moderators are going in convoy - Spokey, Rob Bruce and I leave for the Ring at some unholy hour on Sunday morning. The ear...

Re: Disa
No - it is a flap valve on the manifold, fitted to all M52TU cars, and also - in a different form - the 1.9. When open, all six cylinders share a common manifold, but when closed, the manifold is seperated into two sections, so feeding the front and rear sets of three cylinders from seperate sectio...

This is the one I had before... the steering on this was a nightmare, so I was really unsure of getting another - but the 3.0i handles like a dream, you can actualy let go of the wheel and it doesn't try to go the other way... and its on runflats...! Get rid of the run flats, you will have even mor...

It looks like I'm going to put my old ones back in. Stuff I couldn't test until nightfall. I have no high beam, I have it when I push the stalk forward but when I pull it back nothing. When the lights are off if I pull the stalk back the standard xenon beam comes on but will not witch off unless I ...

Hi Steve, My Black leather has done the same on the driver side, I questioned it whilst my car was in warranty, and it was refused, Although my car had 20,000 miles on it at that time. so with 7.5k you might be in a better position. Worth asking for a good will claim next time you are at your Steale...

I ran the original Brigestones (35,000 miles, that surprised me) and Dunlop SP9000 on the rear. I had all sorts of traction issues. As soon as I changed the fronts to Dunlops, the issues went away.... ( although they are good tyres they do wear quite quickly, I went through the rears in 8,000 miles....

I can only confirm the symbol for you, Bloke. It is indeed the brake pad warning light. The Z3 manual (yes I know you have a Z4, but BMW are consistent!): If the warning lamp for the brake pads comes on: The brake pads have reached their minimum pad thickness. Proceed to the nearest BMW cent...

Sky BB is fantastic as long as it works. If you ever need to call their support team then G*d help you. They're Muppets. The Netgear modem Sky supply is far from Netgear's best effort. On some lines it works without issue, but on others its a disaster. My brother has it all working fine for months,...
